A tragic incident unfolded in Maharashtra's Jalgaon district on Wednesday, where at least 10 people are feared dead after being struck by a train. The mishap occurred when passengers from the Pushpak Express, panicked by rumors of a fire, jumped off the train, only to be hit by the Karnataka Express traveling on a parallel track.

Preliminary reports indicate that panic spread among the passengers of the Pushpak Express due to a suspected fire. In the ensuing chaos, the emergency chain was pulled, and some passengers jumped off the moving train to escape. Unfortunately, as they landed on the adjacent track, the oncoming Karnataka Express collided with them.

Rescue operations are underway, with authorities working to confirm the casualty count and assess the condition of the injured. Medical teams, local officials, and railway personnel have reached the site to manage the situation. The Divisional Railway Manager of Bhusawal is monitoring the response efforts.
