Two individuals were injured in Chennai on Tuesday after being struck by a speeding SUV driven by a 14-year-old boy. According to police, the boy had taken his uncle's SUV for a drive with a friend when the incident occurred. Several other vehicles were also damaged in the crash.

The accident happened as the boy was driving through Chennai's Jam Bazaar area towards Royapettah. He lost control of the vehicle, colliding with a two-wheeler and several parked vehicles.

Eyewitnesses at the scene managed to apprehend the boy and his friend as they attempted to flee. The local police, alerted to the incident, arrived promptly and took both boys into custody. An investigation into the case is ongoing.

This incident follows a similar occurrence last month in Hyderabad, Telangana, where a speeding car driven by a minor damaged over a dozen parked bikes. Witnesses reported that the car came to a stop after hitting the vehicles, and the young driver tried to escape but was caught by local residents.
