The film, which stars Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastav, and Chhaya Kadam, was announced as India's official submission for the Oscars in September.

On November 12, the team unveiled a new poster for the film, which highlighted its international title change, with the Hindi term Laapataa being translated to Lost for global audiences. The film has been garnering attention as it aims for an Academy Award nomination in the upcoming 97th Academy Awards.
