Bollywood star Aamir Khan has entered a new phase of his personal life after marrying longtime partner Gauri Spratt in a private ceremony held at his residence in Mumbai's Bandra area on Saturday. The couple completed the legal formalities by registering their marriage in the presence of family members and a select group of close friends.

The marriage registration took place shortly before 1 pm, with those present describing the occasion as warm, emotional and deeply personal. Instead of a lavish celebration, the couple chose to keep the event low-key, sharing the milestone only with their closest loved ones.

Around 150 guests attended the ceremony, including relatives who travelled from abroad. Aamir's children—Junaid, Ira and Azad—were present for the celebrations, along with Gauri's son and several close family members. Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, politician Raj Thackeray and a number of other well-known personalities were also among those who attended the intimate gathering.

The couple made their relationship public earlier this year. Although they have known each other for nearly 25 years, Aamir had revealed that their friendship gradually evolved into a relationship a little over two years ago.

This marks Aamir's third marriage. He was previously married to Reena Dutta, with whom he shares two children, Junaid and Ira. Following their separation, he married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005. The two parted ways in 2021 but have continued to jointly raise their son, Azad.

Originally from Bengaluru, Gauri Spratt has largely maintained a private life despite her association with one of Bollywood's biggest stars. She comes from a family with roots in the beauty and wellness industry and currently manages a BBlunt salon in Mumbai. She studied at Blue Mountain School before pursuing professional training in styling and photography at the University of the Arts London.

The newlyweds opted against hosting a grand public reception, choosing instead to celebrate the occasion with a close-knit gathering that reflected their preference for privacy over extravagance.
