Home Minister Amit Shah expressed strong sentiments following Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's interim bail approval for campaigning in the Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing that the Supreme Court's decision wasn't perceived as routine and suggesting a belief among many that "special treatment" was afforded.

In an interview with news agency ANI, Shah reacted to Kejriwal's comments implying immunity from returning to jail if his party succeeded in the elections, deeming it contemptuous toward the Supreme Court. Shah underscored concerns about the perception of judicial decisions being manipulated.

Addressing Kejriwal's assertions about surveillance in Tihar Jail, Shah rebutted, pointing out that Tihar Jail falls under Delhi government jurisdiction, and accused Kejriwal of falsehoods. Shah derided Kejriwal's ambitious promises in light of his party's limited Lok Sabha seat contestations.

Shah also highlighted that Kejriwal had received interim relief, not regular bail, and detailed the conditions set by the Supreme Court, including a return to Tihar Jail post-elections.

Regarding Kejriwal's speculation about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's retirement, Shah reiterated Modi's leadership till 2029 and dismissed any prospects of his own ascension to PM.
