The autopsy report for Anil Mehta, the stepfather of actor-model Malaika Arora, has confirmed that he died from multiple injuries. According to Mumbai Police sources, Mehta, 62, leaped from the sixth floor of Ayesha Manor in Bandra's Almeida Park area on September 11, where he resided with his wife.

At the time of the incident, Malaika Arora's mother was in their sixth-floor apartment. Emergency services arrived promptly, but Mehta was declared dead at the hospital before arrival.

The post-mortem, conducted at Mumbai's Bhabha Hospital around 8 pm on the same day, identified "multiple injuries" as the cause of death.

Following the tragedy, Malaika Arora shared a statement on Instagram expressing her family's profound sorrow. The statement read, "We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear father, Anil Mehta. He was a gentle soul, a devoted grandfather, a loving husband, and our best friend. Our family is in deep shock over this loss, and we kindly request privacy from the media and well-wishers during this difficult time. We appreciate your understanding, support, and respect."

The final rites for Anil Mehta are scheduled to take place at a crematorium in Santacruz today.
