Actor Bella Thorne has come forward with serious allegations against her Girl co-star Mickey Rourke, claiming he physically harmed and humiliated her during filming. She described the experience as one of the most distressing in her acting career.
Thorne took to Instagram on Friday, sharing a video clip of Rourke being called out for controversial remarks directed at singer JoJo Siwa on Celebrity Big Brother UK. Alongside the clip, Thorne recalled her own disturbing interactions with Rourke during the production of the 2020 thriller.
Detailing one incident in an Instagram Story, she wrote: “This disgusting man. I had to shoot a scene with him where I was on my knees, my hands zip-tied behind me. He was supposed to use a metal grinder on my knee—but instead, he repeatedly struck my genitals with it through my jeans.” Thorne claimed the impact left her with bruises on her pelvic bone.
Expanding on her accusations, she posted a longer message on X (formerly Twitter), stating that Rourke subjected her to several degrading moments throughout the shoot. One such moment involved him intentionally revving his motorcycle engine during a scene, covering her in dust as a supposed joke in front of the crew.
She also recalled being forced to enter Rourke’s trailer alone after he allegedly refused to speak with the director or producers. “I was asked to convince him to return to set and finish filming. I didn’t want to do it. I felt uncomfortable and unsafe, but I did it so everyone’s hard work on the movie wouldn’t go to waste,” Thorne shared.
As of now, Mickey Rourke has not issued any response to the allegations made by Thorne.
