Comedian Bharti Singh has voiced her support for content creator Samay Raina after he became embroiled in controversy over remarks made on his show, India’s Got Latent. The backlash erupted following an inappropriate question posed by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia during an episode, leading to public criticism and legal complaints.

Bharti, who appeared on the show alongside her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa and singer Tony Kakkar, defended Samay’s character. She described him as a talented individual and emphasized that he is not as he is being portrayed amid the controversy.

When questioned by paparazzi about her thoughts on the situation, Bharti, known for her work on Laughter Chefs, explained, “The show has a certain format, but that doesn’t mean participants are obligated to say anything they’re uncomfortable with. It’s their choice whether to speak or not. Samay doesn’t force anyone. He is a good-hearted and gifted person, especially popular with Gen-Z. Once you meet him, you will appreciate him even more.”

Addressing concerns about the explicit language used on the show, Bharti added, “If someone dislikes the language, there are countless other creators to watch. We choose to watch Samay Raina because we enjoy his content.”

The controversy erupted after Ranveer Allahbadia, widely recognized as BeerBiceps, appeared as a panelist on the show alongside content creators Ashish Chanchlani and Apoorva Makhija, also known as The Rebel Kid. A particular segment from the episode went viral, where Ranveer posed a crude question to a contestant. He asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once to stop it forever?”

The distasteful nature of the joke drew sharp criticism from netizens and triggered legal complaints against Ranveer. In response to the backlash, the YouTuber issued a public apology, and all episodes of the show were subsequently taken down from YouTube.
