The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has called for the cancellation of all agreements signed with India during the 15-year tenure of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, labeling them as "secret" and "unjust."

BNP Joint Secretary Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, in a statement on Saturday, urged the interim government to annul these deals, claiming they compromised Bangladesh's sovereignty and independence. "I request the interim government to revoke all secret and unfair deals signed by Sheikh Hasina with India that undermined Bangladesh's independence," Rizvi said.

This stance contrasts with that of Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain, who recently stated that the interim administration has no plans to abandon any agreements with other countries, as they represent commitments made by Bangladesh. Rizvi also questioned India's apparent indifference to what he described as the oppression Sheikh Hasina inflicted on the people of Bangladesh.
