The historic Charminar, standing tall for over four centuries, became the vibrant heart of a global celebration as Miss World 2025 contestants from 109 countries gathered at the monument for a cultural immersion.

Traditional Marfa drum beats echoed through the lanes as the delegates were welcomed with music and dance. Many of the contestants enthusiastically joined in, matching steps with local performers in a spontaneous celebration that highlighted Hyderabad’s cultural spirit. The lively atmosphere was followed by a photo session, with the visitors capturing the grandeur of Charminar and taking selfies against its majestic backdrop.

This cultural experience was part of a specially curated Heritage Walk that also led the group to the nearby Laad Bazaar. The centuries-old market came alive as the contestants explored its narrow lanes, admiring handcrafted bangles, pearls, and traditional jewellery. Some paused to watch artisans shaping delicate bangles, expressing admiration for their artistry and precision.

A touching moment unfolded when traders in Laad Bazaar declined payments for their goods, instead offering them as tokens of love. The shopkeepers urged the visiting beauty queens to take back memories of Hyderabad’s hospitality and generosity.

Miss World 2025 officially began in Hyderabad with a grand opening at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium on May 10. While last year’s edition was hosted in Mumbai, the current pageant is being held in Telangana’s capital with large-scale arrangements coordinated by the state administration.
