Chris Hemsworth is reportedly in negotiations to take on the lead role in Disney's upcoming Prince Charming film, which will be directed by Paddington filmmaker Paul King. The script is being co-written by King, alongside Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker, with the project currently in the development phase.
Though specific details about the plot are still being kept under wraps, Prince Charming is a character with roots in various literary traditions. In Disney's animated classics, he is often depicted as the romantic partner of iconic princesses, including in Sleeping Beauty and Snow White. However, in Cinderella, Prince Charming is her direct love interest. According to reports from Deadline, insiders have stated that the new film will not be directly linked to the Cinderella storyline.
