Ahead of his much-anticipated concert in Mumbai, Coldplay’s lead singer Chris Martin visited the iconic Shri Babulnath Temple with his partner, Hollywood actress Dakota Johnson. Social media is abuzz with pictures and videos of the couple embracing Indian culture during their visit.
Chris, 47, was dressed in a traditional blue kurta and adorned a Rudraksha mala, while Dakota, 35, opted for a simple printed suit and covered her head with a dupatta as a mark of respect. Their appearance together at the temple also put an end to recent breakup rumors. The couple, who have been together since 2017, appeared serene as they participated in traditional rituals. In one video, Dakota was seen whispering her prayers into Nandi’s ear, a customary practice in Shiva temples.
Chris Martin is in India as part of Coldplay's sold-out Music of the Spheres World Tour, with performances scheduled at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18, 19, and 21. Following the Mumbai shows, the band will conclude their India tour with two concerts at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25 and 26, which will also be live-streamed on Disney+ Hotstar.
Before their temple visit, the couple was spotted strolling through Mumbai streets. Chris kept it casual in a grey T-shirt and trousers, while Dakota wore a black dress.
Dakota and Chris began dating after his divorce from actress Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he shares two children, Apple, 20, and Moses, 18. Known for keeping their relationship private, the pair has occasionally shared their admiration for one another. Chris has previously referred to Dakota as his "best friend," while Dakota has expressed her love for joining him on tour whenever her schedule allows.
Coldplay’s concerts in India have generated immense excitement among fans, making this visit even more special for the globally acclaimed artist and his partner.
