CISF Constable Kulwinder Kaur, who allegedly slapped BJP MP Kangana Ranaut at Chandigarh Airport last month, remains suspended amid an ongoing departmental inquiry, the Central Industrial Security Force clarified on Wednesday. Reports of her transfer to Bengaluru were denied by CISF officials.

The incident occurred on June 6 when Kangana Ranaut, traveling to New Delhi, was reportedly slapped by Constable Kulwinder Kaur, who expressed displeasure over Kangana's remarks about Punjab women during the farmers' agitation. Kangana later reassured her safety in a video, recounting the confrontation and stating concerns about rising extremism in Punjab.

In parallel to this controversy, Kangana is preparing for the release of her upcoming film 'Emergency', where she portrays former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. The film, also starring Anupam Kher, Milind Soman, and Shreyas Talpade in pivotal roles, is scheduled to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
