British rock band Coldplay will make a highly anticipated return to India with their first full concert in Mumbai on January 18 and 19, 2025. This performance will be part of their ongoing "Music of the Spheres" tour, which has been captivating audiences worldwide since 2022.

Previously, Coldplay performed at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai in 2016, but this upcoming concert at DY Patil Stadium will be their first full-length show in the city. The announcement was made by entertainment platform BookMyShow Live, which also revealed that tickets will go on sale on September 22 at 12 pm IST.

In addition to standard tickets, Coldplay will offer a limited number of Infinity Tickets starting November 22, 2024. Priced around €20 (approximately Rs 2000) per pair, these tickets provide an affordable way for fans to attend the concert. Infinity Tickets will be distributed in pairs and the exact seating location will be disclosed on the day of the show.

Coldplay's 2016 appearance in Mumbai was a brief set, where lead vocalist Chris Martin performed alongside AR Rahman and interacted with the crowd in Hindi.

The band’s 2021 album, Music of the Spheres, features cosmic themes and includes the global hit single "My Universe," a collaboration with BTS. Known for their blend of melodic rock and reflective lyrics, Coldplay has achieved massive success with past albums like Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, earning multiple Grammy Awards.

Formed in 1996, Coldplay consists of Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion. The band has sold over 100 million records globally and remains one of the most influential rock bands of the 21st century.
