Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami later contacted the two singers and apologised on the minister’s behalf, bringing the state government into efforts to defuse the controversy.
Speaking to IANS, Mika praised Dhami for his warm and humble approach. He also revealed that the Chief Minister had invited both brothers to visit Uttarakhand.
Mika said Dhami himself was not responsible for the incident and therefore did not need to apologise for it. Nevertheless, he appreciated the Chief Minister’s intervention and efforts to address the matter.
The singer also indicated that Daler did not wish to prolong the dispute following Dhami’s outreach, although he continued to stress the need for artists to be treated respectfully.
Mika’s team hopes dispute ends on a positive note
Uniyal’s reported apology comes after the Chief Minister’s intervention and the public criticism that followed the incident. Mika’s team has now signalled that it wants the matter to be put behind everyone involved.
The episode has drawn attention to the treatment of performers at public events and the importance of maintaining their dignity on stage. With the reported apology and the Chief Minister’s earlier outreach, the focus is now on whether the controversy can be brought to a close.
