Delhi Chief Minister-designate Atishi will take the oath of office on September 21, alongside her council of ministers
19-09-2024Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Delhi Chief Minister-designate Atishi will be sworn into office on Saturday, September 21, according to an announcement made by the AAP on Thursday.
The timing of the swearing-in was confirmed after Delhi's Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena proposed September 21 as the date in a written communication to President Droupadi Murmu.
Initially, AAP had planned for only Atishi to take the oath. However, it has since been decided that her entire council of ministers will also be sworn in on that date.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced that Mr. Kejriwal will forgo his security and vacate the chief minister's residence within 15 days, opting to live like an ordinary citizen.
