On Wednesday, Delhi-NCR experienced significant traffic disruptions due to heavy rainfall that caused extensive waterlogging across the region. Numerous social media videos showed vehicles moving slowly due to flooded streets.

Motorists in south Delhi's Sarita Vihar and Mathura Road faced severe traffic congestion, with vehicles barely advancing on waterlogged roads. Similarly, in Noida, heavy traffic jams were reported at key locations such as the Mahamaya flyover and Noida Sectors 18, 14, 15, and 16.

Waterlogging was also prevalent in areas including Noida Sector 37, Sector 19, DND Overleaf, Sector 34, Noida City Center, and near Center Stage Mall.

The rain has highlighted the shortcomings of the Noida Authority's recent claims that drain cleaning would alleviate waterlogging issues. The severe traffic congestion suggests that residents may continue to face these challenges for the foreseeable future.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported a maximum temperature of 35.2°C in Delhi on Tuesday, slightly above normal. A 'yellow' alert for light to moderate rainfall has been issued for the city through Thursday.
