The high-octane espionage series Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, has officially set a new benchmark in Indian cinema. With its sequel continuing a strong theatrical run into the fourth week, the franchise has collectively crossed Rs 3,000 crore at the global box office — a first for any Indian film series.

As per figures reported by trade portal Sacnilk, the combined worldwide earnings of Dhurandhar (2025) and its follow-up, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, have reached approximately Rs 3,019.35 crore in just 26 days of the sequel’s release.

Franchise-Wise Worldwide Collections

Dhurandhar Series

  • Dhurandhar – Rs 1,307.35 crore
  • Dhurandhar: The Revenge – Rs 1,712 crore
  • Total – Rs 3,019.35 crore

Baahubali Series

  • Baahubali – Rs 650 crore
  • Baahubali 2 – Rs 1,788 crore
  • Total – Rs 2,438 crore

Pushpa Series

  • Pushpa – Rs 350.10 crore
  • Pushpa 2 – Rs 1,742.10 crore
  • Total – Rs 2,092.20 crore

With this achievement, the Dhurandhar films have surpassed the lifetime global totals of both the Baahubali 2: The Conclusion franchise and the Pushpa 2: The Rule series.

A Historic Milestone for Indian Cinema

What sets this accomplishment apart is that no Indian franchise had previously breached the Rs 3,000-crore mark worldwide. Additionally, Dhurandhar has become the first Indian film series in which both installments individually crossed Rs 1,000 crore globally. The original film wrapped up its run with earnings of over Rs 1,307 crore worldwide.

The sequel has exceeded expectations across territories. Of its Rs 1,712 crore total so far, approximately Rs 414.50 crore has come from overseas markets, while the domestic gross stands near Rs 1,297.50 crore after 26 days in cinemas.

Remarkably, these figures were achieved without releases in major international territories such as China and several Gulf countries, making the feat even more striking.

Momentum Slows, Legacy Secured

Although the film’s daily earnings have tapered in week four — with around Rs 0.75 crore overseas and Rs 5.20 crore nett in India on its fourth Monday — the broader success story is already cemented.

Beyond raw numbers, the Dhurandhar franchise has redefined commercial possibilities for Bollywood, establishing a new global standard for Indian film franchises.
