Singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has clarified his recent statement that led to controversy regarding his future concerts in India. The remarks, made during his Chandigarh show on December 14, were misunderstood by fans, prompting the singer to clear the air on social media.

During the concert, Diljit expressed concerns about the lack of infrastructure for live shows in India, stating, “We don't have the proper infrastructure for live shows here. This is a significant source of revenue, and many people rely on it for work. I'll try next time to ensure the stage is in the centre so you can all gather around it. Until then, I won’t be doing shows in India, that's certain.”

However, following the uproar, Diljit took to X (formerly Twitter) to clarify his comments. In a now-deleted post, he explained that his remarks were specific to the venue issues in Chandigarh. He wrote in Punjabi, “Nope. I said CHD ch Venue di Prob. C So.. jab tak sahi venue nhi mil jata Mai Tab Tak CHD mai Next Show Plan Nhi Karunga.” This translates to: “The problem was with the Chandigarh venue. Until we find a suitable venue there, I will not plan another show in Chandigarh.”

Diljit’s December 14 Dil-Luminati concert in Chandigarh was a memorable evening, during which he dedicated the show to India’s new FIDE World Chess Champion, Gukesh Dommaraju, praising the young champion’s hard work and dedication.

On the professional front, Diljit’s Dil-Luminati India Tour is nearing its conclusion. His next performance is scheduled for Mumbai on December 19, and the tour will conclude with a grand finale in Guwahati on December 29.
