In a shocking development in the Pune Porsche incident, two doctors have been arrested for allegedly tampering with the blood test report of a 17-year-old whose late-night drunk driving led to the deaths of two young software engineers. The Pune Crime Branch arrested Dr. Ajay Tawade and Dr. Shri Hari Harnor from Sasoon Hospital. Dr. Tawade heads the forensic lab at the state-run hospital. The authorities have seized the doctors' phones as part of the investigation, revealing that Dr. Tawade and the teenager's father had communicated on the day of the accident.

Initial reports suggested that the teenager, currently held in an observation home, had tested negative for alcohol. However, CCTV footage from a bar showed him drinking with friends that night. Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar clarified, "This is not merely an accidental case due to drunk driving. The accused knowingly drove recklessly without a number plate on a narrow, busy street after partying at two bars. He was fully aware of the potential fatal consequences of his actions."

The teen, belonging to a prominent real estate family, has seen his father and grandfather accused of trying to influence the legal process to protect him. His father has been arrested under the Juvenile Justice Act, and his grandfather was detained after their driver claimed he was coerced to take the blame for the accident. Additional arrests include staff from the bars the teen visited. The manipulation allegations against the doctors add to the evidence that the family used their influence to shield the teen.

The accident claimed the lives of Ashwini Kostha and Anish Awadhiya, both 24, who were riding a bike when the Porsche struck them from behind, killing them instantly. Initially, the teen was granted bail within 15 hours, under conditions considered lenient: writing a 300-word essay on road safety, working with traffic police for 15 days, and undergoing counselling for his drinking. Following public outrage, the Juvenile Justice Board revised the order, placing him in an observation home. The police have requested permission to try him as an adult, given he is 17 years and eight months old. The families of the victims have demanded severe punishment, labeling the incident as "murder, not accident."
