Ed Sheeran Confirms Bengaluru Street Performance Was Pre-Planned

10-02-2025British singer Ed Sheeran addressed the buzz surrounding his impromptu street performance in Bengaluru, clarifying that he had prior permission to perform at the venue.
Taking to Instagram Stories, Sheeran shared, “We had permission to busk, by the way. Hence, us playing in that exact spot was planned out before. It wasn’t just us randomly turning up. All good though. See you at the show tonight x.”
Earlier, a viral video showed Sheeran setting up his music gear on Church Street and performing his hit song Shape of You, with fans enthusiastically singing along. However, his performance was abruptly interrupted when local police stepped in and disconnected the equipment.
Currently on his India tour, Sheeran has already performed in Hyderabad and Chennai. His upcoming concerts are scheduled for Delhi NCR and Shillong.
