After Donald Trump's resounding victory in the US presidential election, a family photo shared by his granddaughter, Kai, sparked considerable attention—particularly due to the unexpected appearance of tech mogul Elon Musk. In the image, Musk, holding his son X Æ A-12, stood on the outskirts of the Trump family circle. Notably, Trump's wife, Melania, was absent from the photo.

Social media users were quick to react, with one commenter praising Musk for fitting in seamlessly: “Look at Elon fitting right in. An amazing family.”

Musk’s increasing prominence was also evident during the election night festivities at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where he was often seen interacting with guests, frequently carrying his son on his shoulders.

Musk retweeted Kai's photo, sharing his own image with Trump and his son, captioning it with the Latin phrase "Novus Ordo Seclorum," meaning "a new order of the ages."

Trump secured his victory on Tuesday, defeating Democratic challenger Kamala Harris by 69 electoral votes. In his victory speech, Trump expressed gratitude toward Musk, referring to him as a “special guy” and a “super genius.” He further praised Musk's contributions, stating, “Only Elon can do this. That’s why I love you, Elon.”

Musk, who had thrown his support behind Trump following an assassination attempt in July, was a key figure in the election. He donated over $100 million to Trump's re-election effort, campaigned extensively in swing states, and used his social media platform, X, to criticize Trump’s opponents while rallying support for the campaign.

In recognition of Musk’s support, Trump has extended an offer for a key role in his administration. The President-elect suggested creating a new position for Musk, potentially called "government efficiency," or even "Secretary of Cost-Cutting," which Musk has expressed interest in.

Musk's financial backing is seen as part of a broader strategy to shield his companies from increased regulation and to secure valuable subsidies.
