Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, have found themselves at the center of separation rumors after 37 years of marriage. Reports suggest that the couple has been living apart for some time, though neither has officially confirmed any decision to part ways.

According to Zoom TV, Govinda and Sunita have been residing separately due to differences in lifestyle choices. Some sources claim that their strained relationship is a result of contrasting habits and priorities. Meanwhile, Bollywood Now reported that Govinda’s alleged association with a Marathi actress might have contributed to their growing distance.

In a recent conversation with Hindi Rush, Sunita addressed their living arrangement, stating that they own two houses—an apartment where she stays with their children and a bungalow where Govinda often spends his time. She explained that his late meetings and social gatherings keep him at the bungalow, while she prefers a quieter life in their flat with their son and daughter.

“We hardly talk much at home because I believe excessive talking drains energy,” Sunita remarked.

Amidst these ongoing speculations, ETimes quoted a source claiming that Sunita had sent a separation notice months ago, but no further legal action had been taken. However, Govinda’s manager, Shashi Sinha, dismissed the divorce rumors, attributing the tensions to internal family issues. He further mentioned that Govinda is currently focused on launching a new film, leading to frequent visits from artists at his office.

Sunita also shared her views on Govinda’s nature, humorously stating that in her next life, she wouldn’t want him as her husband. “He doesn’t take holidays. I love going out, eating street food, and enjoying life, but he has always been too busy working. We have never even gone to watch a movie together,” she said in the interview.

Govinda and Sunita tied the knot in March 1987 but kept their marriage a secret until after the birth of their daughter, Tina, in 1988. Their son, Yashvardhan, was born in 1997.

While rumors continue to swirl, the couple has yet to make any official statement addressing their relationship status.
