On Wednesday evening, heavy rains in Delhi caused significant disruption at the national capital's airport, leading to the diversion of at least 10 flights. According to an official, the diversions occurred after 7:30 PM due to adverse weather conditions. Of these, eight flights were redirected to Jaipur, and two to Lucknow.

The intense rainfall not only impacted flight operations but also caused waterlogging and traffic congestion across several areas of Delhi.

Airlines took to social media to inform passengers about potential delays. Vistara announced that flight UK998 from Pune to Delhi had been rerouted to Lucknow due to the weather.

Air India advised travelers to arrive early at the airport due to expected delays caused by slow traffic and waterlogging. Similarly, SpiceJet warned that both departures and arrivals might be affected by the severe weather.

IndiGo also posted an update on X, highlighting the heavy rainfall expected throughout the night and urging passengers to check their flight status for the latest information.
