Hema Malini has shared a health update on her husband, veteran Bollywood star Dharmendra, who is currently receiving treatment at Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital.

In a post on Instagram, Hema thanked fans for their concern and requested everyone to keep the actor in their prayers. Along with a recent picture of Dharmendra, she wrote, “I am grateful for the love and concern shown for Dharam ji. He is in the hospital for observation and is being closely monitored. Our entire family is by his side. I humbly ask everyone to pray for his quick recovery.”

Dharmendra, who is 89, has been undergoing medical supervision for more than a week.

On Monday evening, Hema Malini was seen visiting the hospital. Shortly afterward, their sons Sunny and Bobby Deol also arrived to check on their father.

The actor’s team has issued a statement assuring fans of transparency, saying, “Mr Dharmendra is stable and under constant observation. Further updates will be shared when appropriate. We request everyone to pray for his recovery and respect the family’s privacy.”

The iconic star, who turns 90 on December 8, 2025, had undergone an eye graft procedure earlier this year in April. Despite his age, Dharmendra continues to work in films. He was most recently seen in Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, starring Kriti Sanon and Shahid Kapoor.

His next film, Ikkis, directed by Sriram Raghavan and featuring Agastya Nanda in his debut role, is scheduled to release on December 25, 2025.
