Hina took to Instagram on Thursday, September 5, to share her struggle with mucositis and her search for relief. "One of the side effects of chemotherapy is mucositis. Although I’m following my doctor’s advice to treat it, if any of you have experienced this or know of any effective remedies, please suggest them. It’s really tough when you can’t eat. Your help would mean a lot," she wrote, accompanied by emojis conveying her emotions.

Mucositis is an inflammation of the mucous membranes that line the mouth and gastrointestinal tract. It is a common side effect of cancer treatments such as radiation or chemotherapy. Although mucositis is usually temporary and heals on its own, it can cause significant discomfort and may lead to other complications.

Hina has been open about her journey through treatment, keeping her followers updated on her experiences. Recently, she managed to step out and enjoy some of her favorite foods, including cookies, macarons, and other treats, despite the difficulties. Hina was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer several months ago and is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Mumbai's Kokilaben Hospital as part of her treatment plan.
