Indian Army Releases Video of Pakistani Post Strike Amid Escalating Border Tensions
The Indian Army has unveiled footage of a targeted strike on a Pakistani military post as both nations face heightened cross-border hostilities
09-05-2025In a significant development, the Indian Army on Friday released its first visual evidence of a Pakistani military outpost being destroyed in cross-border operations along the Line of Control (LoC). The release comes amid mounting hostilities between India and Pakistan.
According to Army sources, Indian forces successfully thwarted a series of drone and missile attacks launched overnight by Pakistani troops targeting the western sector in Jammu and Kashmir. The retaliation was carried out under Operation Sindoor, which also addressed ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
In a large-scale anti-drone mission, Indian air defence units neutralised over 50 Pakistani swarm drones across several critical zones including Udhampur, Samba, Jammu, Akhnoor, and Nagrota in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Pathankot in Punjab. The operation showcased India’s air defence prowess through the deployment of L-70 and Zu-23mm guns, Schilka systems, and advanced anti-drone technology.
Reaffirming its stance, the Army said on X (formerly Twitter), “The Indian Army is unwavering in its commitment to defend the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Any hostile action will be met with decisive force.”
On Thursday night, Indian forces intercepted Pakistani attempts to target military establishments in key areas such as Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur using a mix of drones and missiles. Sirens and loud blasts were heard in regions like Akhnoor, Samba, Baramulla, and Kupwara as the military conducted an intense aerial surveillance operation along the border.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Defence reported that Pakistani forces had tried to strike military facilities across 15 locations in northern and western India. The targets included cities such as Awantipura, Srinagar, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Bathinda, Chandigarh, Bhuj, and others.
In a swift counter-response, India launched kamikaze drones, successfully disabling a Pakistani air defence installation near Lahore.
These escalations followed India’s earlier strikes that eliminated nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir. These operations were conducted in retaliation to the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22, which killed 26 people. Pakistan, in turn, threatened a strong response.
Amid these developments, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh emphasized India’s readiness to act when provoked. While reiterating the country’s preference for peace and dialogue, he made it clear that any misuse of India’s restraint would be met with firm and appropriate action.
“No constraint will stop us from defending our sovereignty. India is always prepared for a strong and responsible response,” Singh stated.
