Iran has stepped up its anti-American messaging with a series of provocative public displays across Tehran, including a giant billboard depicting US President Donald Trump behind bars and carrying the message, "We will kill Trump".

The billboard was installed above the busy Enghelab Square on Tuesday, November 3, as dozens of people gathered nearby carrying red flags and banners reading "There will be blood". The gathering also featured calls for revenge over the killing of Iran's former supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in US-Israeli strikes on February 28, an attack that triggered the Middle East war.

Another display portrayed Trump alongside US Vice President JD Vance, special envoy Steve Witkoff and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. The four were depicted with bloodied faces and torn clothing, against a backdrop of damaged US and Israeli flags.

The displays form part of a recurring campaign of anti-US and anti-Israel imagery across the Iranian capital. Recent installations have mocked Trump, proclaimed victory over the United States and threatened retaliation.

ANTI-TRUMP EXHIBITION IN TEHRAN

A separate open-air exhibition at Tajrish Square in northern Tehran featured paintings portraying Trump in violent and humiliating scenes. One showed him lying on the ground with a bloodied face as a foot pressed against his head, while another depicted a bomb covering his face.

A life-sized replica of a prison cell was also on display, with an actor dressed as Trump spending the day inside. A screen nearby showed footage of destruction caused by US strikes in Iran.

Tehran has accused Trump of deliberately targeting civilian locations during the conflict, including a school and a wedding ceremony, claiming that dozens of people, including women and children, were killed.

DIPLOMATIC EFFORTS CONTINUE

The aggressive messaging comes as diplomatic efforts to bring Washington and Tehran back to negotiations have gathered pace. The conflict has spread across the region and contributed to a rise in global prices.

Trump said on Tuesday that a deal with Iran "could happen". The statement came as the US president faced crucial midterm elections amid voter dissatisfaction, with the war among the issues weighing on his administration.

Public billboards and murals carrying political messages have long been a feature of Iran's streets since the 1979 Islamic Revolution. They are used to commemorate allies, celebrate military figures and convey the country's positions towards its adversaries, particularly the United States and Israel.
