The reveal came through a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Haasan’s production house, Raaj Kamal Films International.

In the image shared, Kamal Haasan is seen wearing a grey oversized hoodie, showcasing his slicked-back salt-and-pepper hair and an extended goatee. The post was captioned, "New journey with a new look #JourneyBegins. #Ulaganayagan #KamalHaasan @ikamalhaasan."

Shruti Haasan, a well-known actress herself, expressed her joy at her father's transformation by sharing the post on her own X account, accompanied by the phrase "Appa dearest," along with pink heart, evil eye, and sunglasses emojis to convey her approval.

Fans quickly took to the comments section to praise the legendary actor, with remarks such as "Aandavar new look! (sic)" and "What a look! (sic)." Many also speculated about the project connected to this new appearance, with suggestions pointing toward his much-anticipated 237th film. Earlier this year, it was announced that the Anbariv brothers, renowned for their work on KGF 2 and recent National Award winners, would direct the project.

In addition to this, Kamal Haasan recently completed filming for Thug Life, a gangster drama directed by Mani Ratnam. The film features an impressive cast, including Silambarasan, Joju George, and Ali Fazal, with music by AR Rahman.
