Comedian Kapil Sharma’s Surrey-based eatery, Kap’s Café, was attacked for the third time on Thursday, as gunmen opened fire on the property in a shocking assault caught on video. The incident has been claimed by individuals linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, identified as Kulveer Sidhu and Goldy Dhillon, who took responsibility via a social media post.
Fresh Attack Caught On Camera
A viral video from the scene shows several gunshots being fired at the café, which had only recently resumed operations after undergoing repairs from earlier attacks. Eyewitnesses reported that the shooters arrived unmasked and opened fire without hesitation before fleeing the spot.
In a post circulating online, the alleged perpetrators wrote, “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Today’s firing at Kap’s Café, Surrey, was carried out by me, Kulveer Sidhu, and Goldy Dhillon. We have no enmity with the public. This is a warning to those who cheat or owe us. Bollywood figures speaking against our faith should also be cautious — bullets can come from anywhere.”
Authorities are verifying the authenticity of the post and probing whether the shooting was linked to extortion or religious grievances mentioned in the message.
Pattern Of Violence
This marks the third time Kap’s Café has been attacked this year:
-
First attack: July 10, 2025
-
Second attack: August 7, 2025
-
Third attack: October 2025
In both previous shootings, the café’s windows were shattered, though no injuries were reported. Each incident forced temporary closure of the establishment, affecting business operations and heightening security concerns for Sharma and his team.
Following the earlier incidents, law enforcement agencies in both India and Canada reviewed Sharma’s security arrangements, acknowledging that the threats against the comedian had transnational implications.
Investigation Underway
The Surrey Police Department has launched a full investigation into the latest assault, analyzing CCTV footage and interviewing eyewitnesses. Officials have yet to confirm any arrests.
Local authorities have assured increased patrolling around the area as they continue to assess whether the repeated attacks are part of a larger pattern targeting individuals linked to Bollywood or specific business networks.
