On Wednesday, several parts of Delhi experienced light rain, providing a brief respite from the extreme heatwave that saw temperatures soar to a record-breaking 52.3 degrees Celsius. This scorching temperature set a new high for the city, intensifying the struggle for residents coping with the sweltering conditions.

The weather department has predicted that thunderstorms, light rain, and gusty winds are likely to affect Delhi and its adjoining areas in the NCR over the next two hours. These weather changes are expected to bring some temporary relief from the oppressive heat.

Noida, a city in the NCR region, also witnessed light rain, which contributed to alleviating the intense heat. The forecasted thunderstorms and gusty winds are anticipated to provide further cooling, though the relief may be short-lived as summer conditions persist.

Residents are advised to stay hydrated and take necessary precautions against the heat while enjoying the brief cooler weather brought on by these light showers.
