Bollywood actor Malaika Arora's father, Anil Arora, tragically died by suicide this morning, according to Mumbai police. The 65-year-old reportedly jumped from his apartment in Bandra around 9 am. Authorities have confirmed that the body has been sent for post-mortem, and an investigation is currently underway.

Malaika's ex-husband, Arbaaz Khan, along with senior police officers, arrived at her residence following the incident.

Malaika Arora, who was born in Thane, Maharashtra, has previously spoken about her parents' separation when she was 11 years old. After the divorce, she moved with her mother, Joyce Polycarp, and her sister, Amrita Arora, to Chembur. Her father, Anil Arora, was a Punjabi and worked in the Indian Merchant Navy, while her mother is a Malayali Christian.
