Indian Nominee Payal Kapadia Misses Out on Golden Globe

Indian filmmaker Payal Kapadia, who had earned nominations in two major categories, unfortunately, did not secure a win. Her critically acclaimed film All We Imagine As Light was nominated for Best Director – Motion Picture and Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language.

In the Best Director category, Kapadia lost to Brady Corbet for The Brutalist. Meanwhile, in the Best Motion Picture – Non-English Language category, the award went to Emilia Perez.

Despite the outcomes, Kapadia’s nominations marked a significant milestone, spotlighting Indian talent on the global stage at one of Hollywood’s most prestigious award ceremonies.
