A shocking incident in Khanna's upscale Nai Abadi area of Punjab has raised serious concerns about the growing menace of stray dog attacks. An elderly woman, employed as a housemaid, was attacked and dragged by a pack of around five dogs, with the incident being captured on CCTV.

The footage shows the woman hurrying towards the gate of a house to escape the dogs. Unfortunately, she could not make it inside in time. One of the dogs grabbed her by the leg, causing her to fall to the ground. Within moments, more dogs joined in, biting her arm and face.

A resident, noticing the attack, threw an object from their house to scare away the animals, successfully dispersing them. Shortly after, a group of women rushed to help the injured woman and assisted her in standing up.

The victim suffered at least 15 wounds in the attack and shared that this was the third time she had been targeted by dogs in the same week.

Local residents are alarmed by the increasing number of dog attacks in the area. Joginder Singh, another resident, revealed that he himself had been bitten four times. The incident has brought attention to the need for authorities to address the issue of stray dogs to prevent further attacks and ensure public safety.
