Prime Minister Narendra Modi touched down in Amman on Sunday, kicking off the first stop of his three-country diplomatic tour that will also take him to Ethiopia and Oman. On arrival, he was welcomed with full state honours, including a ceremonial Guard of Honour at the airport.
The visit holds special significance as it comes in the milestone year marking 75 years of diplomatic ties between India and Jordan. During his stay, Prime Minister Modi is set to hold high-level discussions with King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, with a focus on deepening cooperation across key areas of mutual interest.
