Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently hosted Karisma Kapoor and several members of the Kapoor family at his residence in New Delhi. The meeting, filled with heartfelt moments, was organized to honor the legendary filmmaker and actor Raj Kapoor as the family celebrates his centenary year.

Karisma Kapoor shared a series of photos from the memorable visit, with one image garnering significant attention online. In the picture, PM Modi is seen signing a special note addressed to Karisma’s children, Samaira and Kiaan, while Karisma looks on, kneeling by his side. The gesture highlighted the personal touch and warmth of the interaction.

In another photo, Karisma posed with the Prime Minister, expressing her gratitude for his hospitality. Sharing the pictures on social media, Karisma wrote, “We are deeply humbled and honored to have been invited by the Honourable Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, to commemorate the extraordinary life and legacy of our grandfather, the legendary Raj Kapoor. Thank you, Shri Modi ji, for such a special afternoon. Your warmth, attention, and support in celebrating this milestone meant the world to us.”

The Kapoor family’s visit was part of the ongoing celebration of Raj Kapoor’s unparalleled contributions to Indian cinema. Karisma mentioned the upcoming Raj Kapoor 100 Film Festival, which will showcase ten iconic films across 40 cities and 135 cinemas from December 13 to 15, 2024.

The family, including Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Neetu Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and others, flew to Delhi for the occasion and returned later that evening. The gathering not only honored Raj Kapoor’s artistic legacy but also reflected the enduring influence of his work on generations of Indian cinema lovers.
