Indian badminton star PV Sindhu is all set to marry Venkata Datta Sai on December 22. The couple recently visited cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s residence to personally invite him to their wedding. Tendulkar shared a heartfelt post on social media alongside Sindhu and her fiancé while holding the invitation card. He praised Sindhu's remarkable career and wished the couple well for their new journey.

"Badminton always starts with 'love,' and your beautiful journey with Venkata Datta Sai will continue with 'love' forever! Thank you for inviting us to be part of your special day. Wishing you both a lifetime of joy, unforgettable memories, and endless rallies!" Tendulkar wrote on X.

The wedding has been scheduled for December 22, keeping in mind Sindhu’s busy upcoming badminton commitments, which begin in January. The couple will host a reception in Hyderabad on December 24. Sindhu’s father, PV Ramana, explained that the families had known each other for some time, but the wedding plans were finalized only a month ago. He also mentioned that this was the only feasible time for the ceremony, given Sindhu’s packed training schedule for the next season.

Venkata Datta Sai, who resides in Hyderabad, is the Executive Director at Posidex Technologies. He holds degrees in liberal studies and business and has extensive experience in the industry. He previously worked with the JSW-owned Delhi Capitals franchise in the IPL.

Meanwhile, Sindhu recently claimed another title, winning the Syed Modi International on December 1. The 29-year-old shuttler defeated China’s Wu Luo Yu in straight games, 21-14, 21-16, to secure the championship. This marks Sindhu’s third Syed Modi International title, having previously won it in 2017 and 2022.
