Rachel Gupta, a 20-year-old from Punjab, made history on October 25 by becoming the first Indian to win the prestigious Miss Grand International 2024 title. Competing against contestants from over 70 nations, Gupta emerged as the standout winner.

In addition to the title, Gupta was honored with the Grand Pageants Choice Award, joining the ranks of Indian beauty queens like Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta as one of India’s most celebrated global pageant winners.

The pageant organizers shared the news on Instagram, congratulating Gupta and writing, “Congratulations to the winner Rachel Gupta on achieving the crown of dreams! She embodies beauty, elegance, and true talent. May her journey to success shine even brighter with every step she takes.”

Gupta also took to Instagram to share her excitement and gratitude, posting, “We did it! We won the first Golden Crown in Indian history. Thank you so much to everyone who believed in me! I promise, I will not let you down. I vow to be a Queen whose reign you’ll remember forever.”

Gupta’s journey to this victory began when she was crowned Miss Grand India in August. She is no newcomer to international pageants, having previously claimed the title of “Miss Super Talent of the World” in 2022.

With over a million Instagram followers, Gupta now steps into her role as a global ambassador for Miss Grand International, where she will champion causes related to peace and global stability.
