Even as political activity remains intense in New Delhi, the Vadra-Gandhi family is quietly preparing for a personal milestone. Raihan Vadra, the 25-year-old son of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and entrepreneur Robert Vadra, is expected to be engaged to his longtime girlfriend Aviva Baig, according to sources familiar with the plans.
The engagement is likely to take place in Rajasthan, a region closely linked to the Gandhi family, and is being planned as a low-profile, two to three-day family gathering. Sources said the ceremony is expected in early January 2026, with final dates being coordinated to accommodate close relatives.
Members of the Vadra and Gandhi families, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Robert Vadra, have reportedly travelled by road from Delhi to Sawai Madhopur. They are staying near Ranthambore National Park, where the engagement-related celebrations are expected to coincide with New Year festivities.
Those aware of the developments said Raihan recently proposed to Aviva in a private setting, following which both families gave their consent to the match. Preparations are now underway, with a conscious effort to keep the event strictly personal and away from public attention.
Raihan Vadra is known for his work as a photographer, particularly in wildlife and nature photography, and has exhibited his work on various platforms. Aviva Baig, a Delhi-based professional from a reputed family, is also creatively inclined and shares an interest in photography, especially portraits and travel imagery. The two reportedly met through professional circles and bonded over shared artistic interests, which gradually evolved into a long-term relationship.
So far, there has been no official statement from the Vadra family or the Congress party regarding the engagement. However, sources indicated that more details may emerge closer to the ceremony, even as the family continues to maintain discretion around the celebrations.
