Actor Rajkummar Rao has addressed reports claiming he charges Rs 5 crore per film following the success of Stree 2. In a recent interview, he dismissed the speculation, stating he is mindful of his producers and emphasized that money is not his primary focus.

Speaking to The Indian Express, Rajkummar said, “I keep reading different figures every day. I’m not foolish enough to burden my producers. Being part of a blockbuster doesn’t change me as an actor—money is simply a byproduct of my passion. I want to continue working all my life and focus on roles that challenge, excite, and help me grow.”

Reports from earlier this year suggested that Rajkummar charged Rs 6 crore for Stree 2, while his co-star Shraddha Kapoor was said to have charged Rs 5 crore.

In a separate conversation on Unfiltered With Samdish, Rajkummar revealed that he doesn’t possess the kind of wealth people assume he does. Speaking in Hindi, he remarked, “Honestly, I don’t have as much money as people think. I’m not someone with Rs 100 crore lying around.” He added that he cannot randomly afford luxury cars worth Rs 5-6 crore like some Bollywood actors.
