Veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan celebrated his 75th birthday on September 6, surrounded by close family members, including his son, actor Hrithik Roshan, and Hrithik's girlfriend, Saba Azad. Hrithik shared a photo from the intimate celebration on social media, captioning it, "Happy 75th birthday, Papa. We love you."
In his post, Rakesh Roshan expressed his gratitude to his family for making the day special. The photo featured the Roshan family, including Hrithik, Saba Azad, Rakesh and Pinkie Roshan, Hrithik's sister Sunaina, his children Hrehaan and Hridaan, as well as Rajesh Roshan with his children Pashmina and Eshaan.
Sunaina Roshan also took to social media to honor her father, calling him her greatest inspiration and celebrating his milestone birthday. Hrithik responded in the comments, describing her tribute as the "sweetest" and "most innovative."
Rakesh Roshan began his career as an actor with the 1970 film Ghar Ghar Ki Kahani and went on to appear in films like Khoobsurat, Kaamchor, and Bhagwan Dada. He transitioned to directing in 1987 with Khudgarz and went on to direct hits such as Khoon Bhari Maang, Karan Arjun, and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, which marked Hrithik's Bollywood debut.
Hrithik Roshan, who was last seen in Fighter alongside Deepika Padukone and Anil Kapoor, is set to appear in War 2 with Jr NTR in his upcoming projects.
