Podcaster and influencer Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as Beer Biceps, has issued a public apology following backlash over his remarks on Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. Facing criticism for making obscene jokes, Allahbadia took to X on Monday, admitting his mistake and pledging to use his platform more responsibly.

In a video statement, he said, “My comment wasn’t just inappropriate—it wasn’t even funny. Comedy is not my strength. I’m here to apologise. Many people questioned whether this is how I want to use my platform, and the answer is no. I’m not offering any justifications or context—just a sincere apology.”

Acknowledging his lapse in judgment, he added, “The podcast is watched by people of all ages, and I don’t take that responsibility lightly. Family is the last thing I would ever want to disrespect. I need to be more mindful, and I promise to do better.” He also confirmed that he had requested the removal of the controversial sections from the episode.

The controversy erupted after Allahbadia posed an offensive question to a contestant during the show, where he appeared as a judge alongside Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Mukhija (The Rebel Kid). His remarks sparked outrage on social media, with calls for a boycott and discussions on content regulation, particularly on OTT platforms.

Following the uproar, a complaint has been filed against Allahbadia, Samay Raina, Apoorva Mukhija, and India’s Got Latent for allegedly using abusive language on the show, as reported by ANI. Several public figures, including politicians and celebrities, have weighed in, demanding accountability for the content aired.
