Saif Ali Khan was attacked with a knife in an attempted burglary at his Bandra residence on Thursday night. The actor was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery for his injuries. At the time of the attack, his wife, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and their children, Taimur and Jeh, were present at the home. Kareena had spent Wednesday night out with her sister Karisma Kapoor, producer Rhea Kapoor, and actress Sonam Kapoor.

According to sources, Saif confronted the burglar in an attempt to protect his family. A statement from Saif's team confirmed the incident, asking for patience while the police investigate. The statement reads, "There was an attempted burglary at Mr. Saif Ali Khan's residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is a police matter. We will keep you updated."

Mumbai Police's Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dixit Gedam, reported that an unidentified intruder entered Saif's residence, leading to a confrontation with the actor. Saif sustained injuries in the altercation, and an investigation is ongoing.
