Actor Saif Ali Khan was discharged from Mumbai's Lilavati Hospital on Tuesday following several days of treatment after being stabbed during a burglary attempt at his Bandra residence. The incident occurred in the early hours of January 16, leaving the actor with multiple injuries.

Dr. Nitin Dange from Lilavati Hospital had earlier informed the media that the actor would be discharged between 10 a.m. and noon. Saif was accompanied by his family, including his mother Sharmila Tagore and wife Kareena Kapoor Khan, during his hospital stay. Upon leaving the premises in a black Porsche, Saif waved to photographers stationed outside his residence.

The actor was seen arriving home in a crisp white shirt and blue jeans, with a bandage visible on his arm.

The attack occurred last week at Saif’s Bandra residence, Satguru Sharan, where an intruder stabbed him approximately six times. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital at 2:30 a.m., where he underwent two surgeries to treat his injuries. Doctors revealed that a 3-inch-long sharp object had been used in the assault.

The Mumbai Police arrested the attacker, identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, in Thane city on Sunday. Shehzad was presented before a metropolitan magistrate’s court later that afternoon and remanded to five days in police custody.

In her statement to the police, Kareena Kapoor Khan shared that the intruder became aggressive during the altercation but did not steal any valuables, despite jewelry being within reach. She also noted that Saif intervened to protect the house help, who had been held hostage, and prevented the assailant from endangering their youngest son, Jeh.

On the professional front, Saif Ali Khan was last seen in the Telugu film Devara, where he starred alongside Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor.
