Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was hospitalized after being stabbed multiple times during a burglary attempt at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. The incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday when an unidentified assailant entered the actor's home. Khan sustained six stab wounds, two of which were deep, with one dangerously close to his spinal cord. He is currently undergoing surgery at Lilavati Hospital and is reported to be out of danger.

According to Mumbai Police, the intruder broke into Saif Ali Khan's home around 3:30 a.m. A confrontation ensued between the actor and the assailant, during which Khan was attacked. Several family members were reportedly present in the house at the time. Following the assault, Khan was rushed to Lilavati Hospital, where a team of specialists, including neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr. Leena Jain, and anesthesiologist Dr. Nisha Gandhi, is overseeing his treatment.

Hospital officials confirmed that one of the knife wounds was dangerously close to Khan's spine. Despite the severity of his injuries, doctors have assured that the actor is in stable condition.

Speaking to the media, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dixit Gedam said, “An unidentified individual broke into Saif Ali Khan's residence, leading to a confrontation. The actor sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment. We are actively investigating the case to ensure the accused is brought to justice.”
