Salman Khan Pauses Bigg Boss 18 Shoot to Pay Tribute to NCP Leader Baba Siddique
The actor rushed to Lilavati Hospital after Siddique's tragic death, honoring their close friendship and his significant impact on Bollywood
13-10-2024Actor Salman Khan abruptly stopped the shooting of Bigg Boss 18 upon hearing the devastating news of NCP leader Baba Siddique’s death. The actor quickly made his way to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai, where Siddique was receiving treatment after being attacked.
The 66-year-old politician was shot on Saturday night, October 12, outside the office of his son, MLA Zeeshan Siddique, and unfortunately succumbed to his injuries while hospitalized.
Salman, who shared a close bond with Baba Siddique, arrived at Lilavati Hospital around 12:30 am. He was known to regularly attend Siddique’s annual Iftar parties, which attract many of Bollywood's biggest stars.
Baba Siddique was respected for his political influence and played a significant role in reconciling one of Bollywood's most notorious feuds. In 2013, he successfully facilitated the reunion of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan after a five-year estrangement that began following a confrontation at Katrina Kaif’s birthday party. His Iftar gathering that year marked the moment the two superstars came together.
In the ongoing investigation, the two suspects arrested—Karnail Singh from Haryana and Dharamraj Kashyap from Uttar Pradesh—have claimed during questioning that they are affiliated with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, a notorious criminal organization currently led by its imprisoned leader, according to Crime Branch sources.
