Bollywood actor Salman Khan has received a new threat from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding that he either visit their temple to apologize for allegedly killing a blackbuck or pay a sum of ₹5 crore. The Mumbai Police Traffic Control reported receiving a message on Monday from an individual claiming to be Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother, who warned that if Salman did not comply, he would be killed.
The message stated, "If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologize or pay ₹5 crore. If he does not, we will kill him; our gang is still active.” Police have heightened security around Khan and have launched an investigation to identify the sender.
This threat follows a similar incident on October 30, when an unidentified person demanded ₹2 crore from the actor. Just days before, a 20-year-old man named Mohammad Tayyab, also known as Gurfan Khan, was detained in Noida’s Sector 39 for making threat calls to Salman and to NCP MLA Zeeshan Siddique, son of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique.
Earlier in 2023, Khan faced multiple security breaches, including an email threat allegedly from gangster Goldy Brar and an attempted trespassing incident at his Panvel farmhouse by two individuals using fake identities. In 2022, a threatening letter was discovered near his residence.
The situation escalated following the murder of Baba Siddique outside his son Zeeshan's office on October 12, during Dussehra celebrations. The next day, the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the killing, allegedly due to Siddique's close association with Salman Khan. So far, authorities have arrested 15 individuals in connection with Siddique’s murder.
Police continue their investigation to ensure Khan's safety amid ongoing threats from gang affiliates.
