Sara Tendulkar, the daughter of cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, never fails to capture attention, whether through dating rumors, stylish appearances, or engaging social media posts. Active on Instagram, Sara frequently shares glimpses of her daily life. On Sunday, she delighted her followers with a special tribute to her maternal grandmother, Annabel Mehta.

Sara posted a touching photo with her grandmother, who was holding her book, "My Passage to India." Annabel’s story is nothing short of remarkable—she moved to India from England in the 1950s for love. In her heartfelt post, Sara wrote, "My Granny has lived the most incredible life. She moved from England to India in the 1950s for my Grandpa. Her journey of love, marriage, motherhood, as well as grief and bereavement, is documented in her very own book 'My Passage to India,' now available on Amazon." The post also featured glimpses from the book, including never-before-seen family photos.

Annabel Mehta’s book offers a deep dive into her extraordinary life, from her early days in England to becoming the mother-in-law of Sachin Tendulkar and a loving grandmother to Sara and Arjun Tendulkar. It beautifully captures her transition to life in India in the '60s for love.

Annabel Mehta is widely known as the founder of Apnalaya, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children in Mumbai. To many, she is also recognized as the mother of Anjali Tendulkar, the wife of Sachin Tendulkar. In "My Passage to India," Annabel shares significant aspects of her life, including her move to Mumbai, her marriage, motherhood, and the challenges of establishing and running Apnalaya.

The book begins with Annabel’s arrival in Mumbai in the 1950s to be with her boyfriend, Anand Mehta, and his family—a move met with dismay from her own family and friends in England. Annabel writes candidly about her roller-coaster journey filled with love, marriage, motherhood, and the inevitable experiences of grief and bereavement. She also details the hard work and unwavering faith required to sustain Apnalaya against tremendous odds.

Sara’s heartfelt post not only highlighted her grandmother’s incredible journey but also showcased the deep bond they share, making it a truly special moment for her followers.
