Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has made his debut on the 2024 Hurun India Rich List, with an estimated net worth of Rs 7,300 crore. This achievement is fueled not only by his thriving film career but also by his investment in the Indian Premier League (IPL) team, Kolkata Knight Riders, which has seen a significant rise in value.

Khan's entry into the rich list is a reflection of the massive success of his recent films. His 2023 blockbuster Pathaan, which marked his return to cinema after a four-year hiatus, earned Rs 543.09 crore in India and crossed Rs 1,055 crore worldwide. This was followed by Jawan, which performed even better, grossing Rs 640.25 crore domestically and Rs 1,160 crore globally. His latest release, Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani, also made a strong showing at the box office, earning Rs 227 crore in India and Rs 454 crore globally.

Khan's wealth has now placed him ahead of other Bollywood celebrities like Juhi Chawla and family (Rs 4,600 crore), Hrithik Roshan (Rs 2,000 crore), Amitabh Bachchan and family (Rs 1,600 crore), and Karan Johar (Rs 1,400 crore). Interestingly, Juhi Chawla and her husband, Jay Mehta, are co-owners of the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise alongside Khan.

Beyond his financial success, Shah Rukh Khan continues to be a major force on social media, with 44.1 million followers, the highest among Indian celebrities. He is trailed by Hrithik Roshan (32.3 million), Karan Johar (17 million), and industrialists Ratan Tata (13.1 million) and Anand Mahindra (11.2 million), both of whom have also seen substantial growth in their online presence.

Khan’s impressive earnings have secured him the top spot on the Forbes Top 10 highest-paid actors in India 2024 list, where he reportedly commands between Rs 150-250 crore per film. Joining him on the list are other prominent names like Rajinikanth, Thalapathy Vijay, and Aamir Khan, who also charge hefty fees for their performances.
