Shahid Kapoor has revealed that he does not want his children, Misha and Zain, to follow in his footsteps and pursue acting. In a candid interview on Raj Shamani's Figuring Out podcast, the actor expressed his wish for his kids to take a different career path, citing the challenges and complexities of the film industry. Shahid, known for his roles in films like Kabir Singh, shared that while his children are naturally confident, he would advise them to steer clear of acting. "I wasn’t inherently that confident. Ideally, I wouldn’t want them to do my job. Don’t get into acting. It’s a tough field with many ups and downs," he said. However, he clarified that the final decision is theirs to make.

Shahid also emphasized the importance of instilling values in his children, particularly the importance of always doing what is right, regardless of the situation. "Always do the right thing, whether it’s easy or not," he added.

On the work front, Shahid Kapoor is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Deva, where he plays a police officer involved in a complex investigation. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film also stars Pooja Hegde as a journalist. Deva is set to hit theaters on January 31.
